Department of Rural Development

The administration operated under the subject of rural development has started in 1940 as a subdivision of Department Of Industries and Commerce. 

Thereafter a separate department for Rural Development had been formed in 1987. Until the formation of a separate ministry for rural development in 1978, the rural development department had controlled under different ministries. Rural development became a Provincial Council’s subject as per the power of Provincial Council which mentioned under the 10th section of 09th subscription in the 13th constitutional amendments which was seconded at the end of 1987.In 02nd of July 1988 Central Provincial Council had been formed and hereafter Central Provincial Rural Development Department leads all the Rural Development Programs continuously providing a great service to the Central Provincial community.
